Specifics
Price: $1500 to be paid in full at time of booking
This payment is non-negotiable and non-refundable
Tap out session bookings can be rescheduled once with 72 hours notice
Payment will be transferred to the new booking date. Subsequent reschedules will forfeit the payment
Cancellations, no-shows, or any requests for reschedules without at least 72 hours notice will forfeit the payment
If payment is forfeit, a new payment will need to be made in order to secure another booking
Start time: 8am
End time: whenever you tap out or 10:30pm, whichever comes first
Available artists: Juse or Matt
Normal day session charges are ~7 hours.
Juse does not do day rates and charges $180 per hour.
Matt charges $1000 for up to 7 hours then $200 per hour after that.
What to expect
First Consultation ~30 minutes, no charge - to talk about design, placement, size and bounce ideas off the artist
Second consultation ~30 minutes, no charge - to look at the design and make any necessary changes
No changes will be made on the day of the tattoo session
The tap out session price will not change no matter how long or short your session is. If the piece is incomplete when you tap out, you will need to book another session to finish it
Freehand pieces e.g. Tatau, Tā moko, Kirituhi, will include drawing time in the tap out session as this is part of the process
5 minute bathroom and stretch breaks approximately every 2 hours. Can be flexible with these
30 minute meal break around the 6 hour mark - You must bring food with you. Bring something protein and carb heavy. We can heat it up for you
Only the client and artist are permitted to attend the tattoo session. No visitors


What is tapping out?
Letting the artist know you’re done with the session
Leaving the premises
Wanting a long break outside of the 30 minute meal break
If skin reacts too much, if you pass out, or you show signs of shock
Health & Safety
Do not drink alcohol or engage in any activities that could dehydrate you during the 48 hours before your tattoo
If your skin has a strong reaction or becomes too inflamed to continue safely, if you pass out, or if you show signs of shock, this is your body’s way of saying it’s done. Your artist will be closely monitoring you throughout the session and will stop the session if they no longer think it’s safe to continue
Let the artist know about any allergies, medications that may thin the blood, or other health issues during your first consultation.


Do's & Don'ts
Don’t take painkillers or use numbing products before or during the session
Don’t consume any mind altering substances before or during the session
Don’t bring others with you to your session
Don’t fight against the artist if they say your body has had enough
Don’t drink too much caffeine before or during your session as it can thin the blood
Do have a good night’s rest the night before your session
Do eat a decent breakfast before your sessionDo wear comfortable, warm clothing
Do bring snacks (sugar, protein, carbs), water, and electrolyte drinks. You need to keep your blood sugar up during the session
Do bring distractions such as media, games, books etc so long as they won’t disrupt the session
